house in toronto, canada
2000

A new build house that reconciles two separate contexts. From the street the setting is suburban whilst to the rear the house opens up to face a forest ravine. The plan is conceived as a cluster of individual houses containing a bedroom for each family member and linked by double-height top glazed communal space and circulation. Adjustable aluminium louvres mounted internally/externally modulate daylight within the living areas.
